We, like many of you, have been visiting Talon's Eyrie ( http://www.talonseyrie.com ) on a regular basis. But when we decided that it was time to review this unique website, we also made the trip to our dictionary.
Talon is, of course, defined as as "the claw of a bird of prey", but here it is more appropriately the name given to the website owner, a reflection both of the man, personally, and perhaps even a bit of a tribute to his past. Those claws can be sharp - a visit to his occasional "rant and rage", his observations on current affairs, shows that he has a "take-no-prisoners" approach, shredding his target with those razor-like claws.
A definition of "eyrie", takes us to another word, aerie, which refers to that lofty nest of that bird of prey, it's castle if you will. Which makes it clear that a visit to Talon's Eyrie is a visit to his lofty nest on the Net, a visit perhaps to a castle like no other.
Talon's Eyrie is more than the 10,000 pictures on his website. Of course you could find some of those pictures if you took hour, upon hour, upon hour, to visit the many internet usegroups and websites. Talon. along with his friend and assistant Tiana, does that work for you, gathering pictures of numerous fetishes and posting them in his topical galleries - the topics alone too numerous to mention. Just those 10,000+ pictures are worth the price of admission.. But he also presents many pictures - and writings - that have nearly been lost to the ages. His recent photos from and the writings of John Savage are examples of this.
Talon also takes his claws to political correctness when he reminds you that some of these photos are from magazines with a name like "Teenagers in Bondage." Of course those damsels were of legal age, but "PC" in the 90's and in this century discourage many from even using those words together. But they are part of the history of bondage photography from more than 30 years ago and deserve the tribute and respect that Talon gives them.
If it is the written word you desire, Talon has a "library" full of stories, some his own, some contributed by others - the "friends of Talon." You can almost envision yourself sitting in the overstuffed chair, the aroma of the glass of brandy and the cigar smoke filling the room, as you enjoy them.
And then there are the Eyrie Notables, whether they be a website or an individual, who have taken the work of bondage photography to a new height. As if that is not enough, without giving you time to even take a breath Talon presents a newer section called "Lifestyles", which is, as he calls it "a compendium of knowledge of facts, tips, techniqures, and an in depth explanation of why we are the way we are." And he is still not done! If it's the "real people" of the fetish world that you desire to see, Talon has them. He has also taken it upon himself to introduce "artisons and their artwork" to his website members.
TalonsErie has, in the past handful of years, been at one location or another. But as Red of www.reds-realm.net succinctly said, "Talon is back!!!" And if there is one "problem" about TalonsEyrie, it is that there is SO MUCH on his website that a member may have a difficult time deciding where to begin. But we wish that all websites presented that kind of "problem"!!
We also wanted to give you a few "samples" of what you will see at TalonsEyrie. But it was too difficult of a decision, what to include and what not to include, in the multi-thousands of images. So we simply say this - stop by and visit him at http://www.talonseyrie.com. And plan to spend lots of time on that visit!!
